About The Position

WonderWorks is an indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits. WonderWorks Syracuse is seeking dynamic individuals to join their team as Admissions Attendants. This role is crucial as Admissions Attendants are the first point of contact for guests, welcoming them into the unique upside-down building adventure. They play an intrinsic part in positive ticket sale interactions, providing valuable information to guests, and setting an enthusiastic tone for the wonderful experiences awaiting them inside the attraction.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• Observational skills to ensure safe practices and recognize guest needs
• Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change
• Ability to stand or walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions required

Nice To Haves

• Previous themed entertainment and sales experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and interact with all guests as they enter and exit the attraction
• Answer guest questions and offer assistance in a friendly manner that provides exceptional customer service
• Accurately process transactions through a point-of-sale system including proper cash handling in a high-volume environment
• Upsell guests on additional services offered at the point of sale including combo tickets, souvenir books, and ticketed shows if applicable
• Answer phones and courteously redirect calls to the appropriate department
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
