The position involves receiving and following schedules and instructions from supervisors, as well as adhering to established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in interviewing residents, obtaining required admission information and signatures, and participating in the resident admission orientation program.   • Receive and follow schedule/instructions from supervisor and established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in interviewing residents/guardians/sponsors and obtaining required admission information and signatures.
  • Assist in the resident admission orientation program.
  • Admit and prepare identification records for residents.
  • Maintain an accurate record of available beds.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel.
  • Provide residents with admission information packets.
  • Obtain the resident/guardian’s signature on required permits and authorizations.
  • Maintain a current listing of all residents and assigned room numbers.
  • Notify nursing service when the resident has arrived at the facility.
  • Assume administrative authority and accountability of assigned duties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information.
  • Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of information.
  • Ensure resident’s valuables are inventoried and deposited.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute and use a 10 key calculator.
