The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is seeking an Admissions and Records Assistant 1 to join the Enrollment Services department. This role is crucial in assisting with the processing of applications and supporting documents into the PeopleSoft and OnBase databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering evaluation results into the PeopleSoft database, which will trigger communications to students and update their statuses accordingly. The Admissions and Records Assistant 1 will also be tasked with completing assigned queries and reports by scheduled deadlines, reconciling records, and providing exceptional customer service. This includes offering assistance, guidance, and accurate information regarding policies to prospective and current students and their parents. Additionally, the role involves making residency decisions based on strict guidelines outlined in the university catalog, along with other duties as assigned. This position offers opportunities for professional progression within the university. In accordance with Executive Order 2023-11, all minimum qualifications for this position have been waived until December 31, 2024. This allows for a broader range of applicants to be considered for this role. The ideal candidate will possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may also provide work direction and training to others. The typical work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, although this may change based on organizational needs. Compensation for this role is set at Grade 23, with an hourly rate ranging from $18.88 to $20.42, depending on the step within the grade.
