About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admission/Registration Specialist - Boca Raton, FL. The Admission/Registration Specialist supports the accuracy and maintenance of student academic records by processing petitions, withdrawals, and other updates. This role monitors enrollment reports, assists with Executive Education registration and compliance reporting, prepares documents for notarization, and supports commencement and orientation activities. The position requires strong attention to detail, service focus, and collaboration across campus offices.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years of experience in admissions, registration, academic advising, or academic affairs within a higher-education setting.
  • Proficiency with student information systems (e.g., Banner) and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to accuracy in data and document management.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing a variety of academic record updates, including, but not limited to, Academic Petitions, Exceptional Circumstance Withdrawals, grade forgiveness requests, and fiscal reinstatements.
  • Monitors and analyzes various registration and enrollment quality assurance reports and updates academic records, as necessary.
  • Assists with the updating of academic records as needed to ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides support with facilitating Executive Education course registration.
  • Assists with reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse and updates to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
  • Prepares and verifies academic record documentation for notarization.
  • Assists with commencement ceremonies and related activities.
  • Support the creation and updating of online orientation materials and serve as a representative for the Office of the Registrar at New Student Orientation events, as needed.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
