About The Position

The Admission Navigator provides exceptional customer service while performing a broad range of clinical support duties in an outpatient behavioral health clinic setting. Responsible for guiding our clients through the healthcare process. This role will be responsible for educating clients on their healthcare options and ensuring they have a good understanding of what their care process is going to look like.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or completion of G.E.D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) and Outlook, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • At least one year of customer service experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
  • At least one year of healthcare related customer service experience preferred
  • Experience working within a medical record system preferred
  • Associate’s degree or two-year college certificate in business or healthcare administration

Responsibilities

  • Answering calls, scheduling clients for services, discussing paperwork requirements, and providing information regarding clinical services offered
  • Verifying insurance and registering clients in Summitstone’s electronic medical records system.
  • Ensure that clients are fully informed about their legal rights
  • Work within the DocuSign program, sending out and receiving agency paperwork and documenting results in the medical record system
  • Teach clients about their care options and make specific recommendations based on their goals
  • Help clients and their families navigate the process
  • Review paperwork for clients to ensure it meets all requirements
  • Perform tasks related to making it easier for clients to review the best possible care
  • Knowledge of diversity and inclusion with the relevant ability to engage, communicate, interact, and work effectively and cooperatively with people of different backgrounds, identities, and culturally diverse communities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
