About The Position

The Administrator will act as the critical link in the fulfillment of on time shipments and accurate accountability of inventory into the Formosa AS400/ERP Inventory System for all products shipping by railcars, chemical trucks from Inland Chemical, empty feedstock back to vendors, empty outside shop and lease railcars from FPC TX and bulk trucks shipped from Outside Third-Party Terminals. All while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health and safety regulatory and Company requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one (1) to five (5) years’ experience in shipping/inventory in a petrochemical facility, depending on education.
  • Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)
  • General Awareness of DOT Regulations
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent skills in AS400/ERP Systems.
  • Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of five (5) years of shipping/inventory experience required; or Associate’s degree with three (3) years of shipping/inventory experience preferred; or Bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of shipping/inventory experience preferred.
  • Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire.
  • Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements for current position, as specified in the Master Training Plan.
  • Must participate in the following subject training and pass required certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Order Processing: Serve as the liaison with contacts (including Customer Service Representatives, Production I Loading units, Inland Traffic Rail, and assignment teams) and external Third-Party contracts (Outside Terminals) to resolve any inventory or billing issues. Ensuring accuracy of shipments, as this is vital in preventing customer complaints and extra cost to Formosa Plastics. At times Third Party Union Pacific may contact the Shipping Administrator to resolve an issue with a shipment.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain and manage shipment records, including pre and post shipment records, and abnormal communications for audits. Incorrect information or lost paperwork can cause delayed shipments. Maintain all paperwork and records of each shipment sent. These records are to be filed and kept for future reference.
  • Collaboration: Continually acts to do more than what is expected. Communicates, clearly and frequently, takes initiative, acts creatively and diligently as a problem solver. Demonstrates credibility by recognizing potential inventory issues and communicating with N.J. Customer Service team, N.J. Logistics, Production / Loading units, Inland Traffic Rail, Union Pacific, and Outside Shops.
  • Cross Training: Ensures all department job duties & responsibilities are completed daily even when short personnel, to meet customer satisfaction.
  • THM: Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program. Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program. Maintain the plant in like new condition.
