About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting Sr Sales Account Managers of high-volume National Retail Chain accounts, specific to fresh beef and pork. This role is integral to ensuring smooth operations and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include: Order Entry Management: Enter and process all types of customer orders accurately. Pricing Administration: Enter and maintain price lists. Customer Service Support: Check and confirm order fill and changes with customers; accurately maintain customized customer process lists. Claims/Deduction Management: Track deliveries by working with our customer service department and relay pertinent information. Sales Account Support: Aid in completing various management performance reports; handle field calls from customers and obtain necessary information for the manager to address. Beef/Pork Expertise: Specific knowledge in fresh beef and pork distribution. Cross-Training: Cross train with other Sales Administrators and fill in for other Sales Administrators when absent. Administrative Duties: Manage all incoming calls and perform other administrative duties as assigned. Position will interact with outlying departments including but not limited to claims, scheduling, transportation, pricing, production, quality assurance, and credit. The person is responsible for building strong relationships with both internal and external customers and other administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 plus years in a business environment; preferably Distribution Customer Service.
  • Computer Skills: Basic MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience is a must.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Must be highly motivated and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic. Requires good judgment skills to set priorities, evaluate results, and coordinate with others. Professional demeanor and phone etiquette are essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of the Tyson Business Computer System is preferred.
