About The Position

Review daily tasks and workflows and provide guidance, support, and oversight to Patient Support staff to ensure accuracy and adherence to SHC and departmental guidelines for medical and CWS services. Assist Patient Support staff with problem solving. Prepare staff assignments to maintain adequate department coverage. Modify and implement clinician schedules in the EMR. Create tip sheets and develop other tools to help drive staff skill development, compliance and service improvements. In collaboration with Manager, Patient Support Services, work to enhance staff understanding, performance, and excellence in medical and counseling services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with knowledge of a specific area (e.g., supervising administrative services/processes and/or staff), which may have been acquired through experience in a similar setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to collect, assess, and interpret data.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high volume patient ambulatory health care environment.
  • Working knowledge of workflow analysis and improvement, leadership, and customer service.
  • Working knowledge/understanding of insurance terms and processes.
  • Proficient with working in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
