About The Position

At Emory Healthcare, the position is responsible for planning, overseeing, and directing the operations within a defined Section and/or multiple clinical disciplines of The Emory Clinic. The role involves managing human, financial, and material resources to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and responsive healthcare services. The position works in partnership with the Clinical Administrator to enhance operational efficiencies, improve patient satisfaction, and ensure adherence to patient access standards. Responsibilities include budget accountability, developing and managing annual operating and capital budgets, and focusing on revenue cycle management. The role also involves mentoring staff, providing career development opportunities, and serving as a liaison with Emory Healthcare corporate functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years healthcare related experience with a bachelor's degree, ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years healthcare related experience with a master's degree, ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory/manager experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, oversee, and direct operations within a defined Section and/or multiple clinical disciplines.
  • Manage human, financial, and material resources for high-quality healthcare service.
  • Direct activities to enhance operational efficiencies and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to patient access standards and oversight of business and financial systems.
  • Develop and present budget to TEC Executive Administration.
  • Evaluate Section operations for efficiency related to patient care and financial requirements.
  • Develop long-term and short-term performance targets and financial goals.
  • Manage annual operating and capital budget.
  • Analyze performance of expenses and revenues against budget.
  • Create financial projections and feasibility analysis.
  • Manage costs and budgets for multiple sites and/or specialties.
  • Focus on revenue cycle management and associated components.
  • Manage physician profit and loss analyses and compensation.
  • Mentor and provide career development opportunities for staff.
  • Prepare and distribute financial projections, assessments, and reports.
  • Consult with physicians to resolve operational issues.
  • Communicate fiscal information to faculty, staff, and administration.
