The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. To fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forward. We partner with volunteers to accomplish our work. Staff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learning. Provides a broad range of administrative support to 2 market offices (one local specific to the Denver office, and one remote support). Primary market level responsibilities are supporting fundraising events, and office facilities. Will require some weekend work, and potential travel for events. This is a hybrid position that requires going into the Denver, CO physical office a minimum of 2 days a week.

  • Lead registration and donation handling for Bike MS, Walk MS and Leadership Events
  • Attend market events and provide excellent experience for volunteers and participants
  • Participate in all training, assist in report generation, support offline donation processing
  • Assists in gathering, managing Board of Trustee data, takes minutes and preps office for quarterly Board of Trustees meetings
  • Supports supervisors and Chapter President in setting up office space and equipment for new hires
  • Weekly mail gathering, shipping, coding and batch redacting
  • Primary contact for building management, landlord, and office or equipment vendors
  • Ensure office space, equipment and services are maintained, and staff are equipped to use effectively
  • Coordinate and place timely supply and equipment orders to support facility needs, general operations and events
  • Serve as primary point of contact for executing Office Moves, Closures
  • Work in partnership with other departments to execute physical receipting needs
  • Coordinate to ensure deadlines are met
  • Streamline workflows, while ensuring good customer service
  • Associate's Degree or Higher, preferred (3-5 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • Minimum of three years office experience including AP/AR, HR, and executive support
  • Mailroom/supply experience preferred
  • Shipping and receiving experience helpful
  • Basic understanding of internal controls
  • Skills in accurate data entry and preparation of spreadsheets on a PC
  • Able to stay focused on deadlines while multitasking
  • Flexibility in prioritizing duties
  • Professional demeanor
  • The role requires a high degree of confidentiality
  • Basic knowledge of MS Windows operating systems and MS Office 2010
  • Basic understanding of PC networks
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload
  • Must be able to work with people that have a wide variety of personalities and abilities
