About The Position

Under general supervision of the Manager of CareComm Operations, the Administrator on Duty plays a pivotal role in improving patient access/flow and enhancing safety using clinical expertise, leadership, organizational awareness, and critical thinking skills. Provides clinical and administrative support to team members providing (direct/indirect) care to patients during the evening/night/weekend hours. Serves as the in-house administrator with responsibility to facilitate hospital operations and to contact off-site departmental/administrative resources when appropriate. Demonstrates ability to assign work to and evaluate the work performance of team members supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Hospital Efforts\: Identifies opportunities for hospital process improvement, through CareComm operations, that will enhance the patient experience. Working with organizational leadership and work groups to foster change and process improvements with a focus on increased patient safety and efficiency in care delivery. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to drive safe hospital efficiencies as it relates to patient throughput and balanced staffing across all departments.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an RN
  • At least 2 years leadership experience
  • Must be able to navigate in EMR and other technology platforms as needed to perform daily duties

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
  • Critical care experience strongly preferred
