The Administrator in Training -- AIT is a position that provides a career track to become a licensed nursing home administrator (NHA). The AIT works under the direction of Nursing Home Administrator/Preceptor to receive practical on-the-job training and mentorship in a skilled nursing center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Must be working towards obtaining a Nursing Home Administrator license.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and/or participate fully in all aspects leading a nursing center such as family conferences, team meetings, new employee orientation, clinical care conferences, financial and labor management, etc.
  • Provide the nursing center management team with regular support, feedback, and information regarding how the nursing center operates and how it can improve.
  • Attend regional meetings, conferences, and workshops with Preceptor.
  • Participate in task groups, work groups and other events with region-wide or company-wide impact.
  • Develop special projects that add value to the nursing center and defend project processes and outcomes.
  • CNA Certification Requirement: All AITs must complete a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class during the program. Completion and validation of the CNA class is required before graduation from the program.
