About The Position

The Administrator role at Northrop Grumman involves maintaining and enhancing capabilities in support of the DAF CLOUDworks program at the Air Force Research Lab in Rome, NY. This position is integral to a secure cloud program that includes multiple teams focused on cloud engineering, information security, and infrastructure development. The successful candidate will provide technical support, engage in operations and sustainment, and work on modifying and enhancing cloud offerings to meet new requirements and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 0+ years of experience.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI.
• Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification (e.g., CASP+ or Security+) within 60 days of start date.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, such as AWS.
• Experience with security management tools (e.g., ACAS).
• Experience administering cloud-based networks (e.g., WAF).
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of package management for operating systems (e.g., yum).
• Experience working in teams that adhere to Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Active Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IAT Level II certification.
• Fundamental cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals).
• Experience with systems operationally available to DoD end users.
• Familiarity with git and GitHub/GitLab for code management.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Experience with database administration (SQL & NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud-managed databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for customers leveraging DAF CLOUDworks.
• Engage in operations and sustainment of cloud services.
• Modify and enhance cloud offerings to implement new requirements and increase efficiency.
• Communicate project statuses and blockers to geographically dispersed teams.
• Follow Agile Development processes and full life cycle development.
