The Administrator II, Metrology is part of the Laboratory & Compliance Management (LCM) support unit within our Department of Translational Medicine (TLM); TLM is a commercial “molecular and cellular biology” lab that delivers critical “go / no-go” data to pharmaceuticals and biotechs across the globe as part of the FDA-regulated new drug development process. In this role, you will be responsible for performing calibration and maintenance of pipettes and liquid handlers for the TLM team. The Job Perform equipment calibration and documentation per SOP and any relevant guidance Provide preventative maintenance on pipettes and liquid handlers Follow GDP documentation for calibration and maintenance activities Visually inspect and/or use testing equipment as required to determine service issues on pipettes and liquid handlers Troubleshoot the problem and identify root cause of repair issues Strictly follow SOPs and safety guidelines Maintain a good working habit, equipment are calibrated in clean areas and test equipment and tools are organized and clean. Provide input to management on future needs for lab functions Maintain inventory of reagents and consumables Work Location This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based in our Newark, DE location.

Requirements

  • Combination of relevant education & experience that provides sufficient knowledge & skills to ensure incumbent’s success in this role, such as: University/College Degree in relevant Scientific discipline, and/or Demonstrated experience in CRO, Clinical Research, or another relevant field.
  • Experience in a Regulated industry laboratory preferred
  • Good and timely communications skills
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and effectively to meet timelines; able to accommodate a fast-paced work setting
  • Ability to learn to work independently and eventual make independent decisions, as needed
  • Ability and willingness to adhere with GLPs and other required standards, carefully collecting and organizing data per established criteria
  • Systems and computer proficiency (or ability to learn)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Regulated industry laboratory preferred
