About The Position

The position involves scheduling testing appointments, coordinating and administering standardized tests and distance education exams at the Phil Campbell campus. The role includes serving as the GED Chief Examination Officer, maintaining official GED files, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities also include greeting students, preparing testing rooms, observing institutional policies, maintaining statistics, proctoring tests, accepting payments, and assisting with various student services. The position requires a minimum of an Associate's Degree and relevant work experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • One or more years of work experience in an administrative, receptionist, or customer service role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a college, student services, academic testing, or tutoring role.
  • Familiarity with Banner, Canvas, Honorlock, and/or TargetX.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule testing appointments in appropriate scheduling systems.
  • Provide students with information and assistance regarding standardized testing requirements.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and administer all standardized tests and distance education exams on the Phil Campbell campus.
  • Serve as GED Chief Examination Officer for the Phil Campbell campus.
  • Maintain official GED files and submit GED transcript information.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Postsecondary Education rules and regulations.
  • Greet and check in students for testing appointments.
  • Verify examinee identification and explain testing rules and procedures.
  • Prepare testing rooms and equipment before each session.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues with testing platforms and equipment.
  • Observe applicable institutional, state, and test vendor policies.
  • Maintain testing center and lobby statistics.
  • Proctor tests for other colleges and universities as the schedule allows.
  • Accept payments for testing and other services according to college guidelines.
  • Maintain and update test dates for the Phil Campbell campus on the college's website.
  • Assist in entering placement test results and related student data into Banner or related systems.
  • Order test materials and maintain examinee test files.
  • Complete testing related correspondence as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student data and test content.
  • Work the student services front counter to greet/assist students.
  • Manage appointment sign-in and lobby flow.
  • Provide support regarding enrollment services.
  • Support admissions, registration, orientation, advising, and student life activities.
  • Prepare and track purchase orders in accordance with college procurement policies.
  • Monitor delivery and receipt of items and maintain accurate records.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $13.00 - $20.00 depending on education.
  • 19 hours or less per week with NO BENEFITS.
