About The Position

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.

• Must be an active member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a state, U.S. Commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Must have at least one year of professional legal experience or be a recent law school graduate with significant achievements.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the Department of the Navy (DON), NAVSEA, and Office of General Counsel (OGC) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services in federal acquisition law and related litigation.
• Advise on ethics and standards of conduct.
• Guide on the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act (FOIA).
• Provide legal advice in fiscal law and environmental law.
• Assist in federal civilian personnel and labor law matters.
• Support litigation before the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
• Advise on union grievance arbitrations and whistleblower issues.
