About The Position

The Administrative Support Team (AST) plays a crucial role in organizing the Store Management Office and executing various operational administrative functions. This position involves overseeing scheduling maintenance, managing cash functions, and acting as a liaison for HR-related tasks. The AST is responsible for ensuring effective communication within the store and facilitating the hiring process, while also maintaining a professional environment that reflects Macy's commitment to customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Resourceful self-starter who can adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Organize the Store Management Office and execute operational administrative functions.
  • Oversee scheduling maintenance and manage cash functions, including balancing the vault daily.
  • Distribute reports from My Macy's Portal to the management team.
  • Facilitate the screening and hiring process, including prescreening applicants and scheduling interviews.
  • Handle HR functions and act as the HR liaison for store employees.
  • Coordinate distribution of all incoming communications, including faxes, emails, and phone calls.
  • Input employment data in the Job Requisition System and manage new hire paperwork and training sessions.
  • Complete weekly store newsletters and maintain the store bulletin board program.
