What We Offer This is an on-call position, which means it is a part-time, hourly role. This position will work no more than 39 hours per week. The expected hiring range for this position is $21.26/hour - $23.92/hour, based on experience, and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules. Location and Schedule In this position you can expect to work a part-time schedule, on site at 1849 Emerson Street. You can expect to work around 16-20 hours per week. Our team of devoted professionals enrich the lives of people with disabilities by developing physical, mental, emotional, social and leisure skills necessary to participate in a continuum of activities that will enhance their well-being. Adaptive Recreation programming utilizes the Denver Parks & Recreation department's expansive network of facilities, parks and amenities to provide a wide variety of adaptive programming and year-round training in Special Olympics sports. As an Administrative Support Assistant supporting the Aquatics Office, you will: Promote and demonstrate a high level of customer service by listening and responding to customer feedback in a timely and courteous manner through phone, email, and in-person interactions Collaborate with the Senior Recreation Supervisor and Program Administrator to identify and address administrative needs for the Aquatics Program Area Contact lifeguard candidates to discuss employment opportunities, training registration, and pool placement Manage a high-volume email inbox to answer and dispatch communications to the appropriate individual or team Assist with Aquatics program registration and address registration requests from customers, as needed Organize inventory, track assets, and purchase supplies and equipment for pools across Denver Maintain records of employee certifications while proactively planning recertification opportunities for internal staff members Travel between, deliver supplies, and provide administrative support at a recreation center or pool, as needed Perform other related duties as assigned or requested What You’ll Bring We are looking for a dedicated and passionate administrative professional who can function effectively on a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of clerical experience. Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
