Performs diversified clerical duties related to the operational needs of the office/department. This role involves a variety of tasks including typing correspondence, reports, and articles, greeting and directing visitors, answering telephones, taking messages, and directing intercom pages. The assistant will also be responsible for scheduling appointments and meetings, maintaining department/office files, record keeping, and patient record filing. Other duties include taking meeting minutes, collecting payments, and managing inventory and ordering supplies for the department/office. All responsibilities are considered essential functions of the job.
