The Administrative Supervisor provides office supervision for the Sheriff's Office Administrative staff. This role involves a variety of essential functions including assisting the general public, monitoring activities of the Sheriff Staff, preparing documentation, and correcting county errors in the Computerized Criminal History (CCH) database. The supervisor will also respond to inquiries regarding applications for acceptance of professional bonding companies or individuals, verify accounting ledgers related to inmates' accounts, and maintain auditing procedures for the collection and dispersal of inmate funds, bond receipts, service fees, court fines, and forfeitures. Additionally, the supervisor oversees administrative activities, trains new clerks, records payroll, and prepares safe operating procedures for the office. This position also includes supervising civilian personnel, directing work, counseling, and completing employee performance appraisals. The supervisor will communicate with various law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, design office forms, manage departmental compliance with rules and regulations, and initiate collection of judgments related to criminal bail bond forfeitures.
