For more information on what our cabinet has to offer, check out our YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWSuC43XqlHchYeQ66tP7tg and our Careers page https://eec.ky.gov/Pages/careers.aspx By joining the Division of Forestry's Madisonville Branch as an Interim Administrative Specialist in Hopkins County, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support to branch programs and projects; process the branch's cash receipts, bill payments, and purchase orders; maintain branch documentation, reports, and digital communications; and provide oversight for the administration of the branch's time reporting and operating budget. During your assigned duties, you will interact on a daily/weekly basis with both personnel and management of the Madisonville Branch, as well as personnel from the division's other branches and program staff. Holders of the Interim Administrative Specialist position will complete tasks such as: Reviews, interprets, and applies policies as they apply to various forestry programs and develops procedures. Assesses and monitors branch’s budget, needs, records, and reports and makes associated recommendations. Prepares memos regarding fire suppression, law enforcement, and forest stewardship information. Maintains and enters branch vehicle tracking records, maintenance, and other information. Serves as dispatcher as requested, and performs other fire-related office support duties as may become necessary.
