About The Position

This Rehabilitation Casework Technician position is part of the Hickory VR/IL Unit and is located in the Lenoir satellite office in Caldwell County. The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support and casework assistance for Rehabilitation Counselors serving the general/physical and school caseloads. Job responsibilities include the following: • Interviewing consumers and gathering diagnostic reports to assist counselors with determining eligibility and required services • Assisting with developing written plans of services in conjunction with the consumer, parent and/or guardian • Documenting casework data and the provision of substantial services throughout the rehabilitation process in the case management system • Monitoring the consumer's progress throughout the service delivery process • Inputting casework data into relevant applications throughout the rehabilitation process to support consumer services • Preparing documents including authorizations and correspondence as needed and all related administrative tasks in tandem with the Processing Assistant IV • Working with community employers/partners to assist in directly place highly qualified consumers in appropriate job leading to successful employment outcomes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
