About The Position

Manage RAMP submissions and foreign influence screenings for new employees, and process export control renewals for current employees with expiring RAMP approvals. Serve as the subject matter expert on immigration processes. Prepare and process immigration documentation for J-1 and H-1B visas, ensuring all applications are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner. Stay current on policies and procedures related to visa and immigration compliance. Manage the recruitment process for both advertised and non-advertised positions, including A&P, USPS, Faculty, OPS, Post Doc, and Graduate Assistant roles. Responsible for position description updates, position advertisements, job offers, and Smart Onboarding requirements in OMNI. Send regret letters for completed searches as directed by the FSU HR office, coordinate external job advertisements as needed, process courtesy appointments for visitors and non-FSU affiliates, and conduct manual background checks when required. Complete dual comps for employees as required. Provide backup support to the other NHMFL Employee Services Administrative Specialist. This includes processing payroll, submitting ePAFs in OMNI, and assisting employees with entering time and leave in the system. Also serve as the backup for non-exempt and exempt FACET reporting for faculty, staff, and OPS employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and six years of experience.
  • (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
