About The Position

The Mendocino County Office of Education is a public agency whose primary purpose is to provide educational leadership, resources and services to schools to ensure wide-ranging educational opportunities for all students. This mission is accomplished through cooperative efforts with teachers, school districts, families, and communities; through direct instructional programs and administrative services; and through coordination with the California Department of Education and other agencies. Under the direction of the Principal or designee, independently performs various technical and complex clerical duties related to the permanent records of high school students according to established policies and procedures; utilize specialized automated student information software and hardware; establish, maintain and monitor student records, grades, coursework compiled, and credits earned for graduation; communicate with counselors and other guidance staff, teachers, administrators, parents and students; assure complete and accurate records. The Administrative Secretary/Registrar is a specialized class that performs a variety of responsible, varied, and often complex student enrollment and related tasks at a high school.
