About The Position

  • Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
  • Participation in the COVID-19 vaccination program is required for all Veterans Health Administration Health Care Personnel (HCP).
  • Time-In-Grade Requirement: Must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 level for GS-09 position.

Responsibilities

  • Formulating, executing, and managing the budgetary plan and operations.
  • Interviewing candidates for positions in the unit and recommending appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
  • Initiating and preparing contract requests to secure adequate resources for operations.
  • Preparing written responses to investigations and requests for information.
  • Participating in settling grievances and acting as a liaison between employees, supervisors, and physicians.
  • Determining estimated contract costs and conducting market research.
  • Performing cost analysis for independent government estimates.
  • Providing documentation to support sole source contract requests.
  • Communicating with contractors and drafting/reviewing contract requests and agreements.
  • Providing advice to management and staff on matters relating to contracts and authorizing obligations and expenditures of funds.
  • Planning a system of internal control to assure fiscal management of the Medical Center is maintained on a sound basis.
