This temporary position is located in 301 N. Wilmington St - Wake County with the Department of Public Instruction. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Management Preferences: The Office of Operations serves as a centralized customer service and support office within the department. It is housed within the Division of Operations and led by a Director of Operations who oversees a team of staff that focuses on financial, human resources and procurement actions that support the daily operations of the Department. The Administrative Officer position reports to a Business Officer and supports an internal division of the agency. The position supports a designated office and/or division-level staff for Workday HR requisitions, HR actions and budget changes requests related to positions (BCF/HAF), temporary employee requests, recruitment support, onboarding and offboarding. This position will work with various cost centers to track funding streams (which could include grants, state appropriations, receipts, and other various federal funding) and must ensure the financial integrity of funding is maintained. Work involves coordinating the provision of a full range of financial support and actions necessary for the effective management of a program grant or office. Financial activities included purchases and contract submissions in E-Procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
