The Administrative Manager II - IT will oversee IT Business Operations, providing leadership and administrative support to ensure the efficient management of IT services. This role involves supervising budget development and administration, collaborating with other city departments to enhance IT services, and streamlining operational processes. The position requires effective communication and resource allocation, acting as a key member of the IT management team.

  • Manage the work of professional, technical and/or other staff; determine organizational structure, staffing needs, and work strategies.
  • Provide managerial and administrative oversight and work with IT leadership regarding business operations, administration, policy, procedure and office management issues.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and support of IT, leading budget, finance, facility knowledge management, records management and technical services functions.
  • Plan and execute administrative programs to enhance the performance of IT services and assist leadership and staff with planning and executing presentations, meetings and events.
  • Interact with the public, service providers and employees to respond and route public records requests and constituent inquiries or complaints.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field and eight years of progressively responsible administrative experience in IT, budgeting, accounting, or procurement.
  • Knowledge of executive-level administrative support, budgeting and accounting, research methods, office practices, record keeping, and effective supervisory principles.
  • Ability to independently research and resolve problems, analyze financial data, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, finance, public administration or related field and ten years of combined experience in human resources, finance, accounting and/or analysis.
  • Experience working in a governmental setting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and experience as a SharePoint administrator.
