Responsibilities

  • Functions as assistant to the Dean of the College of Sciences and Technology, providing support to the dean and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates daily office operations and ensures a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Provides reports on various special projects and reviews documents received for action or dissemination.
  • Maintains office supplies and oversees the efficient flow of information within the office and with external stakeholders.
  • Implements and maintains effective filing and organizational systems for documents and records.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Facilitates communication between the College of Sciences and Technology and other university units.
  • Coordinates and manages the dean's calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Assists with budget management, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.
  • Plans and executes college events, workshops, and conferences as assigned.
  • Provides leadership and supervision to administrative support staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Composes and answers correspondence for the College as assigned, and types correspondence for the College.
  • Reviews and approves timesheets and overtime request forms for personnel under the Dean.
  • Serves as Dean's proxy for approving electronic purchase requisitions and routine work orders.
