About The Position

The Administrative Law Specialist 13-P15/Staff Attorney position at MSHDA involves reviewing and analyzing multi-family loan proposals, conducting closings, and preparing legal documents. Requirements

  • Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.
  • For Administrative Law Specialist 14: One year of professional experience in legal work equivalent to an Administrative Law Specialist 13 or as an attorney.
  • For Administrative Law Specialist P15: Two years of professional experience in legal work, including one year equivalent to an Administrative Law Specialist 14 or as an attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze multi-family loan proposals.
  • Conduct multi-family initial and final closings.
  • Prepare MSHDA legal documents associated with closings.
  • Review and evaluate proposed and current MSHDA programs.
  • Draft and/or review proposed legislation and rules related to direct lending programs.
  • Prepare comments on federal regulations related to direct lending programs.
  • Review real estate and bond closing documents for MSHDA general bond obligation issues.
  • Draft Staff Reports and conduct research on various legal matters.
  • Consult and liaise with the Department of Attorney General on various matters.
  • Review proposed leases and prepare form leases.
  • Perform related work as assigned by the Director of Legal Transactions.
