About The Position

Requirements

• Must reside in California upon appointment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct administrative hearings and prepare proposed or final decisions in compliance with the Administrative Procedure Act (APA).
• Preside over quasi-judicial hearings regarding license renewals, suspensions, or revocations.
• Utilize OAH's electronic case management system and other software tools for case management.
• Mentor and assist other ALJs in analyzing complex legal issues (Range B).
• Work independently on specialized and sensitive cases (Range B).
