The Administrative Intern will gain practical experience in a professional work environment that makes meaningful use of their education and skills. The internship is experiential and project-focused.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a relevant business or healthcare degree program.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare and/or hospital operations.
- Analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to work well at all levels of the organization.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the team analysis of problems and the preparation of presentations and reports under the supervision of the department manager and/or staff.
- Evaluates information gained in accordance with established policies and procedures and assist professional staff in ongoing work in an increasingly responsible role.
- Applies analytical skills, enthusiasm for healthcare, eagerness to learn about hospital operations and commitment to contributing to the organization.
