About The Position

Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Administrative Services Assistant/Administrative Event Coordinator to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Human Resources (TN DOHR) located in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid position working from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour. Administrative Event Coordinator Job Overview: The Tennessee Department of Human Resources is seeking an entry-level Administrative Services Assistant to perform general staff work in administrative services and support. This position will be under immediate supervision and will be responsible for staff administrative work related to Conferences and Events. This position will directly support the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, workshops, meetings, and special events. This role focuses on creating exceptional attendee experiences which foster engagement, networking, innovation, and learning and development and will work collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure events run efficiently, meet strategic goals, and reflect organizational values . MUST BE LOCAL TO NASHVILLE

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub-professional experience or paraprofessional or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning, organizing and execution of large conferences and/or events.
  • Scheduling meetings, booking venues, following budget guidelines, and placing catering orders.
  • Keeping track of multiple event details and logistics.
  • Managing event registrations and maintaining attendee databases.
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word) in performing job duties.
