Position Summary: The Director provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided for patients. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resource, risk management, operational functions, strategic planning and program development. Maintains 24 hour accountability. The Director performs delegated duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Rose Medical Center. The Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Rose Medical Center. Provides care for and supervises care of Obstetric populations. Requirements

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BLS Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Bachelor Science of Nursing and Masters Degree in health related field required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience required.
  • Demonstrates understanding of health care from an organizational system perspective.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and provide for delivery of Obstetric services.
  • Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and to maintain constructive relationships in dealing with them.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Participates in counseling and guidance of personnel.
  • Ability to assume twenty-four hour responsibility for integration of patient care.
  • Recognized personal responsibility in striving for innovative health care delivery that meets contemporary needs and assumes leadership in negotiating for changes in health care.
  • Current NRP certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical Level III NICU experience and 3 years of management experience required.
  • Demonstrates the ability to plan and provide for the care of the newborn population.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous management experience preferred.
  • Neonatal nursing specialty certification (RNC) preferred
  • Masters in Nursing or Business strongly preferred.
