About The Position

The Administrative Director of Medical Education (ADME) is responsible for overseeing the accreditation process for specialty programs and managing the administrative operations of medical education programs at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. This role involves ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies, guiding initiatives for new residency programs, and maintaining relationships with service lines and C-Suite personnel. The ADME plays a critical role in program development, budget management, and staff supervision, contributing to the overall success of graduate medical education at the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 3 years' experience in a graduate medical education or healthcare medical education setting.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 3 years of graduate medical education experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required.

  • Management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of the accreditation process for specialty programs and institutional accreditation.
  • Direct administrative operations and daily management of all medical education programs.
  • Support and monitor resident activities via program directors and coordinators.
  • Facilitate ongoing readiness for ACGME Annual Institutional Review and assist in submission of executive summaries.
  • Oversee resident work hours, supervision, and evaluation processes to meet ACGME requirements.
  • Track residency program citations and develop action plans to address them.
  • Responsible for annual institutional WebADS program update to ACGME.
  • Facilitate program letters of agreement for learners and oversee inter-institutional affiliation agreements.
  • Conduct quarterly audits of each specialty area through the resident management suite (MedHub).
  • Assist hospitals in creating new programs through the application building process.
  • Supervise GME program administrative staff and manage GME physician agreements.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for related programs.
  • Provide formal feedback and performance appraisals for program coordinators.
  • Identify opportunities for education in healthcare settings to ensure compliance with regulations.
