About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Emergency Services to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across a high-volume emergency care environment. This role is responsible for the oversight of a main emergency department, multiple freestanding emergency departments, and inpatient throughput operations. The Director ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, and operational efficiency while supporting growth initiatives and future service expansion. This opportunity is well-suited for a proven emergency services leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience managing complex, multi-site operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration
  • Active or eligible Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Texas
  • 3+ years of emergency services experience
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
  • Experience overseeing multi-site emergency or freestanding emergency departments

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clinical oversight for emergency department operations across multiple sites
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
  • Lead operational planning, staffing, and resource allocation to meet patient demand
  • Advance patient experience and service excellence initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards of emergency care
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics related to quality, safety, and throughput
  • Lead continuous performance improvement initiatives within emergency services
  • Promote evidence-based practice and consistent standards of care
  • Lead, mentor, and develop emergency services leadership teams
  • Support workforce engagement, retention, and succession planning
  • Conduct leader and staff rounding to promote visibility, communication, and accountability
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and high reliability
  • Participate in planning and implementation of new emergency services, freestanding EDs, and expansion initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive, physician, and operational leaders to support organizational goals
  • Support emergency preparedness, disaster readiness, and emergency management functions
