About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator supports the Behavioral Health Division with day-to-day administrative, billing, credentialing, and front desk activities. This role focuses on coordination, tracking, and documentation related to billing processes, as well as assisting with front desk coverage as needed. The coordinator works closely with the administrative team, billing vendor, and program leadership to help ensure smooth operations and to support staff in providing quality behavioral health services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of administrative, healthcare coordination, or operational experience
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and familiarity with the Lower East Side Community, including diverse cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic populations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or similar field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with billing vendors to support timely claim submission
  • Review billing reports, identify discrepancies, and coordinator resolution
  • Track billing follow-ups and escalate issues as needed
  • Coordinate provider credentialing and re-credentialing processes
  • Prepare and submit credentialing documentation
  • Track credentialing status, expiration dates, and follow-up requirements
  • Manage office inventory and order supplies
  • Coordinator office space usage and update room schedules
  • Assist with scheduling and meeting preparation
  • Support day-to-day front desk workflow and coverage coordination
  • Coordinate with facilities manager and cleaning team.
  • Assist with resolving operational issues affecting daily program flow
