About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator for Student Employment at Bowdoin College plays a vital role in supporting the Student Employment Office (SEO) by managing student employment records, assisting in the hiring process, and providing guidance on the Workday system. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years' professional work experience in an administrative support role within an office or campus environment.
  • Advanced experience working with computer database systems, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong preference for applicants with Workday experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience coordinating projects that require close attention to detail and strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships and a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize workload with multiple interruptions.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Interest in working with students, staff, and faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update student employment records in Workday.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues in Workday regarding job info, student employee data, and timecards.
  • Monitor and maintain job postings, assisting end users with all processes related to Workday Recruiting.
  • Provide Workday support and guidance to managers for posting jobs and hiring students, as well as supporting students applying for jobs.
  • Run reports and audit data on a regular basis.
  • Meet with students to complete employment forms and follow up on incomplete onboarding.
  • Field inquiries from students, supervisors, parents, and the community, in-person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of events and trainings.

Benefits

  • Hourly pay of $25.77 per hour.
  • Flexible scheduling between 12-18 hours per week.
