About The Position

The Administrative Coordinator of Experiential Learning will oversee administrative functions related to applied learning within the School of Business. This role focuses on managing student profiles for internships and employment, maintaining databases, and tracking student engagement in co-curricular activities. The coordinator will also act as the Suitable Platform Administrator, optimizing the use of engagement software to enhance program effectiveness. Strong communication, organizational, and data management skills are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Up to 4 years of administrative experience in an academic department is preferred.
  • Strong data management and technical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with CUNY software like CUNYFirst, Navigate, Degree Works.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative functions, including scheduling appointments and organizing and coordinating events.
  • Facilitate effective communication between students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • Assist with research to identify and contact employers for internship opportunities.
  • Conduct database searches to identify students, promote, and reach out to them for internship, employment, and co-curricular opportunities.
  • Track and monitor student participation in internships, co-curricular activities, and post-graduate employment.
  • Collect student engagement and success data and prepare and maintain records and reports that showcase student engagement trends, success stories, and internship/employment outcomes.
  • Generate reports and summaries on student activities, internships, and employment placement success, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Assist with annual or quarterly reports on program effectiveness for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee and monitor student interns' timesheets.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
