St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for Financial Aid who will play a crucial role in evaluating, approving, and awarding financial aid to students in accordance with federal, state, and university regulations, policies, and operating guidelines. This position is dedicated to assessing the financial needs of students and advising them, along with their parents, on various financial aid options, processes, and requirements. The coordinator will also evaluate student academic progress to ensure compliance with financial aid standards. In this role, the Administrative Coordinator will analyze and evaluate the financial viability of students and their families, providing expert advice and counsel regarding available financial aid opportunities, eligibility requirements, and the application process. The coordinator will review and assess the eligibility of applications for financial aid, exercising professional judgment to determine if adjustments should be made based on individual circumstances. Conducting orientations, as well as entrance and exit interviews, will be part of the responsibilities, ensuring adherence to university, state, federal, and other agency guidelines. The coordinator will also be responsible for providing information to students, prospective students, and families regarding student financial aid, admissions, UNM account balances, and registration status through various communication channels, including in-person, telephone, and electronic chat. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the collection, management, and reporting of data in alignment with the objectives of the position. Conducting workshops and presentations to educate students, parents, and other interested parties on financial aid policies and procedural issues will also be a key responsibility. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the financial aid office and its mission.
