Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of clerical experience.
  • OR Combined education and experience qualifications
  • Post-secondary experience may be considered in substitution for the required minimum experience.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire.
  • Training that may be provided on-the-job: Safety; Payroll; PREA.
  • Prior to hiring, the Sheriff's Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a law enforcement setting.
  • RMS and TraCS data entry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, types, and proofreads basic forms, letters, or memoranda.
  • Enters and tracks computer database applications.
  • Enters payroll time into HRIS payroll system.
  • Performs routine clerical work, including filing, billing, verifying, and recording information.
  • Schedules for appointments.
  • Provides customer service by telephone, email, and in person.
  • Compiles and maintains division data for statistical reports.
  • Files and disseminates correspondence, reports, and mail.
  • Updates Briefing Board and policy manuals.
  • Inventories, orders, and stock supplies for the district.
  • Attends meetings, takes notes, generates reports, and distributes to appropriate personnel.
  • Drives to other departments to deliver mail, reports, or other items as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as directed by the chain of command.
  • Maintains good attendance to perform all tasks as assigned/scheduled by the supervisor.
