About The Position

About this role About this role BlackRock is hiring an Administrative Business Partner to support the Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) leadership team, based in Washington, DC. GAPP is part of BlackRock’s Global Corporate Affairs organization and plays a central role in shaping the firm’s public policy engagement and government outreach. You will partner closely with this team, managing their complex administrative and business support needs, operating with minimal direction and demonstrating a high-level of attention to detail and organization skills with strong follow-through. This individual will work closely with team members in New York and across global offices, supporting scheduling, logistics, document administration, and communication needs. The role is suited to an organized, proactive professional who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced policy environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of administrative experience, ideally in a corporate, government, policy, or professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with colleagues at all levels.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues.
  • Sound judgment and discretion, particularly when handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; willingness to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for the US Government Affairs Team.
  • Organize domestic and international travel, including itineraries, required documentation, and expense processing.
  • Coordinate meeting materials, briefing documents, and follow‑up actions to support policy engagements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for visitors, internal partners, and external stakeholders; support meeting preparation and onsite logistics.
  • Maintain team files, shared resources, and tracking tools to support efficient information flow and alignment across workstreams.
  • Support planning and execution of internal and external events, including workshops, stakeholder meetings, and roundtables.
  • Assist with administrative components of policy projects, including scheduling interviews, organizing research materials, and coordinating cross‑functional input.
  • Collaborate with other administrative professionals across Global Corporate Affairs to ensure consistent coverage, share best practices, proactively connect the dots, and ensure adherence to firm protocols.
