Purpose Assist CNS Honors & Scholarships in financial planning, purchasing, event coordination, supervision of student employees and recruitment; and to advance our core mission of fostering wellness, belonging, and success for all students.

Requirements

  • 5 years of clerical experience with a High School Diploma or 1 year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products, strong oral and written communication skills, detail oriented, and ability to prioritize tasks over the short- and long-term landscapes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with event coordination.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with UT-Austin tools used for budget management or other budget management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing, payments and office functions for CNS Honors Center.
  • Manage events for CNS Honors Center, including scheduling, budgeting, expenses, vendor relations, customer service for all guests and assist student organizations with funding and logistics.
  • Work with the CNS Honors Center director on budget planning, track all expenditures, monitor accounts and ensure proper use of funds.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise student employees.
  • Review CNS Honors Center program applications and assist in recruiting efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned, including supporting special projects and staffing events within CNS.
