About The Position

Works under general supervision and provides complex administrative support work. Responsibilities include performing word processing, desktop publishing, presentation, and data management activities, and assisting staff with the use of these applications. The role involves composing correspondence, reports, publications, and presentations, including editing and proofreading. The position requires creating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases, researching and analyzing administrative requirements for specific programs or projects, and providing technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs. Additional duties may include performing mail services, applying, interpreting, and communicating policies and procedures, and serving as a resource for answering questions regarding policies. The role also involves maintaining a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records, posting information to agency records, and modifying forms or records. Responsibilities extend to verifying, processing, and reviewing forms, reports, and other documents, making arrangements for meetings, appointments, conferences, and travel, and maintaining office supplies and equipment. The position may also involve coordinating activities and assigning work to student workers and support staff, as well as participating in the hiring, training, and supervision of student workers and other support staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
