About The Position

The Administrative Associate III position at Boston Children's Hospital is a part-time role focused on providing administrative support within a professional office environment. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • One year of related experience required.
  • Previous administrative and/or billing experience preferred.
  • EPIC experience highly preferred.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet priorities within set timeframes and work as part of a team.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide effective customer service and handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • In-depth knowledge of department and hospital programs, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Providing front-facing support in a professional office setting.
  • Accepting and disseminating deliveries from vendors.
  • Sorting and disseminating interoffice and USPS mail.
  • Running daily outgoing mail through the postage machine.
  • Serving as a liaison between Shared Service Center (SSC) staff and offsite administration regarding hardware issues and acquisition.
  • Providing administrative and billing support to the SSC, including working within the EPIC billing system.
  • Researching and resolving denied claims and contacting insurance companies to resolve denials.
  • Ensuring documentation of issues is complete, accurate, timely, and legible while protecting confidentiality according to HIPAA policies.
  • Assisting supervisor with special projects and preparation of reports and documents.
  • Collecting and compiling information from diverse sources and performing calculations, creating charts, graphs, and spreadsheets.
  • Answering, screening, and routing telephone calls and greeting visitors and staff.
  • Monitoring and maintaining office equipment and supply inventory, reordering supplies, and requesting equipment repairs as needed.
