Staffed by our talented team of leading professionals, The Hospital of Central Connecticut provides a wide array of services throughout the region, caring for patients from birth through the end of life. Provides administrative support to the medical director and department staff. Under the direction of the Medical Director and department staff, duties include management of departmental activity database and patient records, bereavement program correspondence and activity records, managing office phone activity and messages, coordinating multiple meetings and their corresponding minutes and record keeping, and facilitation of community education programs and activities. The individual will also maintain the family satisfaction survey results and data entry for departmental quality improvement activities. Attributes for success: 1. Proficiency in the Microsoft office software applications. Candidate should be well versed in use of Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Access in particular, and able to support professional reports and presentations using the software. Data input accuracy is required. 2. Ability to interact in a positive manner with a diverse patient and family population, who are often going through a difficult experience. 3. Professional manner when dealing with the public and other professionals. 4. Open approach to work, with ability to ask questions and seek creative solutions to problems and improvement of the work and department function. 5. Critical thinking skills and self-motivation essential. Ability to be proactive when in need of guidance or support. Qualifications : Education\: 2 or 4 year degree preferred, minimal requirement is HS diploma or GED and three years of prior administrative assistant experience. Requirements
