This position performs a variety of administrative, clerical and office support duties. Duties include, but are not limited to: typing, proofreading and mailing documents promptly; P-card reconciliation; travel entry; answering the telephone and responding to emails; sorting and distributing incoming mail; copying documents, scanning, filing, ordering and stocking supplies, distribution of bridge inspection assignments/reports; reviewing and processing invoices; reviewing mileage logs and state telecommunications billing; reviewing completed tasks to ensure accuracy and integrity of work; receiving and providing information and problem solving.

Requirements

  • High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assisting individuals with inquiries/problems by telephone, email or personal contact.
  • Experience using computer software programs (MS Office Word and Excel), the internet, and
  • Experience using a variety of office machines (computer, copier, fax, scanner, etc.).
  • Experience in office procedures (typing, filing, records management).
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task while coordinating work of direct management and other support staff.
