About The Position

Touro University Nevada is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to work collaboratively with the Student Health Center and the Office of Student Involvement to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of both departments. This role is crucial in managing the day-to-day operations of the front office, where the successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and coordinating clerical, administrative, and data management support for both the Student Health Center and the Office of Student Involvement. Located in Henderson, Nevada, approximately twenty-five minutes from the Las Vegas strip, Touro University Nevada is a non-profit medical, health sciences, and education graduate university focused on positively impacting our community in healthcare and education. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with departmental colleagues in every on-campus clinical program to maintain effective communication and interpersonal relations, ensuring that the needs of students and staff are met efficiently. The successful candidate will demonstrate progressive experience providing administrative support to student health staff, showcasing highly developed skills in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical information and required TUN Immunizations, including NV State Law, is essential. The role requires participation in a team-oriented environment, establishing workload priorities, and exercising tact and diplomacy with diverse personalities in various situations. The Administrative Assistant will manage complex, sensitive, and confidential information while adhering to HIPAA and FERPA regulations. This position also involves answering telephone calls, responding to emails, drafting reports, and assisting with event planning and execution, making it a dynamic and engaging role within the university.
