About The Position

The Administrative Assistant for Admissions at Midway University is a part-time role that provides essential office support to the admissions department, as well as partial support for the financial aid and business offices. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative support or related experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Aptitude for exercising judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in organization and multitasking.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for visitors and phone calls to the admissions office.
  • Oversee the appearance and functionality of the admission reception area.
  • Support the Admission staff by scheduling information sessions and tours.
  • Manage room reservations for meetings/events and oversee departmental email accounts.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies and publications.
  • Participate in Admission events as available.
  • Utilize admission data systems for admission operations.
  • Manage the daily production of mailed admission materials.
  • File admissions documentation as required.
  • Enter data from admission materials critical to the application review process.
  • Assist in the consolidation of duplicate records.
