About The Position

This position provides office support/clerical skills to the Assistant Principal for Administration, Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, Dean of Students, Director of Student Life and Campus Ministry.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Two to three (2-3) years of business training and work experience.
  • Proficient with technology including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff and faculty.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain discretion with respect to confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Provides office support/clerical skills to the Assistant Principal for Administration, Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, Dean of Students, Director of Student Life and Campus Ministry.
  • Performs basic office functions (filing and typing).
  • Records all Student Detentions/Detentions served in RenWeb and email detention reminders to students.
  • Makes student and staff ID Badges, Issues and records student and staff parking permits.
  • Tracks student absences for Dean of Students and assists with monitoring and following up with student absence notes and calls.
  • Prepares paperwork for teacher in-service trainings and records teacher attendance in an online database system.
  • Helps to distribute community and class shirts at the start of the school year.
  • Assists with organizing and collecting permission slips for events throughout the school year.
  • Orders items for Homecoming and Prom, events with partner schools, awards for various school events, and community and class shirts; completes necessary
  • Assists with organizing the many aspects of Freshman Retreat including contacting service sites.
  • Communicates with the Transportation Coordinator to plan and schedule transportation for certain events.
  • Prints out class lists for events and dress out days as needed.
  • Arranges, maintains inventory, and completes orders for Community System closets.
  • Assists with supervision of students during lunch periods, Viking Block, and other times during the school day, as requested.
  • Collects, organizes, and reads announcements and shoutouts for Worship, and needed.
  • Prepares Graduation seating lists and reserved seating signs.
  • Handles complaints professionally and assures follow-up with appropriate Verot staff.
  • Sends information emails to staff and/or parents.
  • Maintains a safe and secure working environment and ensures confidentiality, integrity, and security of information (written and spoken) at all times.
  • Creates and maintains shared documents and spreadsheets.
  • Assumes other duties as delegated by the Principal or designee.
