About The Position

The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of on-going and developing programmatic functions which will include administrative processes, scheduling and preparing work files for inspectors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years office assistance experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques
  • Knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic
  • Ability to follow and apply policies and procedures
  • Possess ability to make arithmetical calculations and set up forms and statistical tables
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, and general public
  • Must have intermediate skill in Microsoft Office Products, Excel and Word

Responsibilities

  • Serve as initial point of contact at front desk
  • Answer phone and responds to voicemails and record requests
  • Schedule incoming work for Environmental Health Specialists
  • Process financial deposits
  • Order and receive supplies
  • Intake applications and plans
  • Process payments
  • Assist department in performing a variety of administrative services for Environmental Health
